Types of Funeral Pieces
When A loved one passes there are always questions about funeral tributes.
Casket Sprays
Generally, the casket spray is purchased by the immediate family to be placed directly on the casket.
Wreaths
Wreaths, such as hearts, round wreaths, and crosses are generally purchased
either by siblings and their families of the departed or in some cases children.
When space is limited the priority is for the
immediate
family pieces to be chosen first. If there is room for additional wreaths or
standing sprays then they are generally purchased by siblings, followed by
nephews and nieces etc.
Floral Tributes
These pieces are generally sent to funeral homes on the behalf of extended family, employers and friends.
Flower Arrangements
F
lower arrangements are generally sent to the home. It is preferable that flower arrangements be sent a few days after the passing to a week or a few weeks later to allow the grieving family some time to processes the passing of their loved one but also to let then know after the immediate passing, once the quiet has settled in that they are still in our thoughts.
