help you decide between the many varieties of plants available. Botanicals
present two main challenges, how
they look in your space and how well they are suited to the space they are
placed in. Plants are living flora, and it is important to understand what
they need to thrive. Light, watering needs, placement in the environment all
need to be taken into consideration before bringing a plant into a space. Selecting the correct plant for the space is
crucial to its ability to thrive. Choosing the right plant for your
lifestyle allows you to properly care for your plant. With our design work
we bridge our love of design with our expert plant knowledge to help green
your space. We provide both residential and commercial Plant
Design Services. Reach out to us if you are ready to add living arrangements

create the perfect living art to compliment your office, home, or retail
space. To minimize our carbon footprint, we hand select high quality plants
from local growers and are thoughtful about our environmental impact as we
are about what plants we choose for you. We handle everything. After our initial
consultation to assess your space and needs, we carefully source planters
that will compliment your space and plants that will not only thrive in your
available light but work together with their planter to create
living art. We work closely with our clients to choose
planters that fit your interior aesthetic and we take care of every step of
the process once a design has been approved, from ordering to potting,
delivery, staging, installation with a full plant care guide provided to
help your green space thrive. At The Chocolate Tulip we also work with client's interior designers to
add the finishing green print to your space. From corporate spaces that have
already been designed to accommodate plantscape or home owners whose
designers have selected vessels we are happy to add the finishing touch. Events are another area where botanicals are being encouraged. Consider
plants as centerpieces and giveaways. Longer lasting with a positive impact
on our eco system it is a great alternative.

How
does it work? For businesses and homes we will visit your space in our initial consult
to discuss your needs, dreams and budget. At that time we will asses your
space in terms of light and environment so that we can make the appropriate
recommendations. We will then create a design proposal that
includes customized plant and planter selections to fit your budget and
aesthetic and provide pricing for your package for approval. A 50% deposit
will be required and then we will place the orders with our supplies and
schedule installation to transform your home or business into a beautiful
living green space. How much does it cost? Our initial fee in Toronto is $150.00 for a plant consultation to visit your
space and assess the environment and needs. Following our consult if you wish to proceed your custom plant
design project pricing will depend on plant and planter selections and a
$50.00 credit will be applied to your work order from our initial consult. We will work with you to maximize
your budget while achieving your design goals. Pricing will include plants,
planters, design, staging and installation fees. You will be invoiced in
full upon approval of your design proposal. EVENTS Thinking of using plant life for your event decor. We would be happy to
work with you. Reach out to us with your budget and needs and we will
work out a event plant that work within your budget.
PLANT CONSULTATION Want to plant hunt on your own but unsure what type of plants suite
your space, book a plant consultation to assess your space before you
purchase plants. Not all plants work in all spaces. We can look at the light
you receive, the temperature, humidity and any other potential environmental
issue that may affect the health of your plant and make suggestions for your
space in addition to discussing what type of plants best suite your
lifestyle. Have a botanical garden already but it just seems like something is
not right? We can help assess what the issue is with your plants had provide
you direction to help. Plant consults in Toronto cost $150.00, outside
Toronto travel time will be taken into account in pricing. Should you
require our assistance beyond our initial consult for plant selection or
care a $50.00 credit will be applied from our initial consult towards
further direction or assistance. Services below require an initial consultation first.

Ahh the one thing everyone forgets when they get
a plant, surprise they both grow and the soil becomes "tired" . Unlike
plants that grow outdoors which benefit from their soil becoming enriched
from mulch and organic matter naturally composting to provide nutrients
indoor plant soil becomes depleted over time. Generally, for plants that
have not outgrown their container the soil needs to be changed every two
years and amended once a year. Give us a call and book a consult to see visit
your plants see what their potting needs are and we can either advise you
how to repot and what type of soil mixture is best for your plant or you can
book a follow-up repotting visit and we can change or amend your soil for
you. Our in home consult includes: A plant health assessment including care routine, pests etc Recommendations on watering schedule, light and proper placement of
plants as well as soil amendment or repotting options After our initial consult we may suggest that repotting and or
splitting of plant is not yet necessary and an approximate window of when it
will be needed. Spring to early summer is the ideal time to repot
your plants. This can be from amending the soil to changing all the soil and
if needed to upsizing the planter. For those who have the space and move
their plants outdoors for the spring and summer we also provide the service
of changing the soil before you move your plants back in for the winter to
avoid bringing in any surprise guests. Costs: Home Visit consult. We require deposit of $150.00 to be paid in
advance of our visit. After our initial visit if you choose to engage our
services further our base visit fee will be $100.00 for up to one hour visit
to repot. In most cases only one person will be needed to visit the space.
In the event there is more than one plant or the plant is large and two sets
of hands to repot are needed any additional person(s) the rate is $55/hr.
Any additional time after the first hour will be charged at $55/ hr per
person. All materials ( i.e. new planters, soil, support stakes, decorative
stone) and any additional time will be charged accordingly.

Our
plants share our space, that also means we unintentionally bring little pest
in with us that love to find new homes on our plants. It can be as simple as
a pest has hitched a ride on your clothes or the opportunity came through an
open door. We can come in and identify your pest issue and provide
suggestion on how to treat or we can work out a treatment plan to come in
and treat the pests. using only natural non toxic remedies.
