SAME DAY DELIVERY IS NOT AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 10TH THROUGH
FEBRUARY 14TH
ORDERS FOR THE WEEK OF VALENTINE'S NEED TO BE
PLACED BY JANUARY 30TH.
This year our order policy has changed. As a bespoke floral
studio our priority is to provide fresh quality uniquely styled blooms rather
than mass production volume. In order to do so we work with an elite group of
floral supplies both locally and overseas. This year our select suppliers have
changed their order format; they will be accepting orders to be placed with
their growers for shipping the week of Valentines up until January 30th.
Therefore, in order to ensure blooms from our suppliers for our clients for
Valentines we too have changed our order format to match. For the week of
Valentines our order deadline will also be January 30th so that we are able to
secure delivery from our suppliers. We encourage our clients to place their
orders early to ensure our suppliers have sufficient time to book your preferred
blooms from their growers before they are sold out.

Q. Wondering what's
trending this year for Valentines?
Although the beautiful
bouquet of long stem roses is still part of the Valentines' tradition, the trend
this year is expected to follow last year moving towards more hand tied bouquets
of mixed flowers and unique floral arrangements. Time to be unique!
Delivery and Logistic
Questions
The Week of Valentines is a high volume week for deliveries. February 13th
through 14th are extremely demanding on all delivery services as the volume
increases more than 2000% from a regular delivery day made even more demanding
due to the current climate. From last year's experience by florists most were
sold out of available inventory by February 11th. For this reason the policy of
the courier service for logistic reasons is orders must be booked in advance
of delivery date as noted above. There is a limit to the number or
deliveries the service can accommodate within a day. Should you need to redirect
a delivery we are required to notify the courier service by 2:00 pm two days in
advance. Q Can I request a
specific delivery time? Unfortunately due to the
volume of deliveries the courier service is unable to accommodate any special
requests for delivery times. The courier service is providing a general delivery
window based on pervious years. For businesses February 13 and 14 delivery will
be anytime between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm. For residences the deliveries will
commence in the morning and run throughout the evening based on the volume of
deliveries they receive February 13th and February 14th. There
will be no same day delivery, or guaranteed delivery
by time. Please book early space is limited. The courier service cannot
accommodate requests for specific delivery windows these days. Please review our
order and delivery policy. Q. Can you tell
me what time a delivery will be made or where it is on the delivery schedule?
Because of the volume of
deliveries the floral courier service must accommodate during the week preceding
Valentines and on Valentines Day the courier services will not interrupt their
drivers to see where in cue any particular delivery is therefore we are unable
to provide information as to where the order is on the delivery schedule. Please
consider having your order delivered on Tuesday February 13th to ensure your
loved one has their gift early. The delivery time and schedule is directed by
the floral courier service and their logistics team. Q Can you advise the
recipient there is a delivery? Because of the volume of
deliveries and pickups February 13th through 14th if you would like us to advise
the recipient there will be a delivery we must receive orders at minimum 4 days
in advance and we will notify the recipient on the day the order is received by
email only.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate requests to notify recipient and/ or
work out an alternative delivery day for orders received less than four days in
advance of delivery day. Email address are required for this service. Q. Can I pick the order up
? We offer delivery
throughout Toronto and the GTA, as a private floral and botanical studio we do
not offer in studio pickup. Q. What else do I need
to know about delivery?
It is the responsibility
of the sender to ensure the recipient is in town/ at work/ at home, that the
correct address and local telephone number has been provided. If being delivered
to a home or a building with no concierge service accepting deliveries. If no
local telephone number is provided flowers will be left at the door. It is the
sender's responsibility to ensure someone will be home throughout the day to
evening to receive the delivery. We strongly advise against leaving flowers
outside in cold weather due to irreversible damage. The courier service will
only attempt one delivery to the home. If no one is home to receive the order
unless a second delivery attempt has been authorized for the following day
flowers will be left at the door of houses and if possible in the lobby of
residential buildings. Orders left at the door for this reason or if instructed
to be left at door by sender or recipient or after an authorized second delivery
attempt will not be the responsibility of the The Chocolate Tulip or the
courier service should the delivery be stolen, vandalized or flowers/ plants or
chocolates are adversely affected by the weather. If a second delivery has been
authorized the order will remain in the care of the courier service, it will not
be refreshed. Undeliverable orders or orders left at the door will not be
refunded. For buildings with
mailrooms/ security/ concierge flower orders must be taken to the areas
designated by the building policy, the delivery service cannot circumvent these
policies. Once in the care of the mailroom/ security / concierge it
is their sole responsibility to ensure flowers are kept in the proper
condition until they can be delivered in a timely fashion. If flowers are to be
left with a concierge please ensure the concierge will accept flower deliveries.
Many concierge or security in condo/ apartment buildings will no longer accept
flowers and in some cases those that accept to do not inform the recipient there
is a delivery for them. If your building accepts orders please check
periodically with the desk or mail room through the day and evening in the event
you were not informed the delivery had arrived. If the courier service is
unable to make the delivery due to the security/ concierge refusing to accept
delivery or if incorrect information is provided please be aware the order will
not be able to be redirected/ delivered the same day and will be considered
undeliverable unless a correct address is provided or an alternative delivery
address is provided where someone will be available to accept the delivery at an
additional charge the following delivery day. If this is not possible the order
will be considered undeliverable. For further details on order and
delivery policy please see our delivery and order policy page - a link is
provided on each page. Delivery rates are based
on price per piece being delivered. Multiple pieces will be charged per piece.
Where feasible we do our best to group pieces into one parcel.
